All Gave Some
Some Gave All

The tradition of displaying blue and gold stars to honor military service dates back to World War I, serving as a powerful symbol of sacrifice and remembrance.

A blue star represented an immediate family member serving in the Armed Forces. If the family member died while serving, the blue star was replaced with a gold star and signified the service member lost their life in duty.

This meaningful symbol has become a national emblem of mourning and honor.

Let us take this time to honor these brave Menomonee Falls citizens that gave the ultimate sacrifice.
